Photovoltaic energy uses the sun’s radiation to create clean electricity. PV powered technology has has been utilized for the biggest solar powered system to be put currently be put into space. This large solar system in space is said to have enough power to give around fifteen homes electricity.
PV panels are made up of small PV cells. Sometimes these cells are used on solar gadgets to make them work. Solar gadgets vary in uses, there are a lot of solar powered children’s toys that are available; many of them online. But general everyday solar gadgets we may use are: solar calculators, torches, radios and more.
There are plenty of uses for solar power. Solar power is used to provide clean renewable electricity for homes and businesses that have PV systems. There are also some great portable panels around in various sizes for those who don’t want or can’t use fitted solar panels. These portable panels can be bought as fold-able or roll-able in style. Portable PV panels are used by tenants, and holiday makers who need a portable electricity provider.
The demand for solar technology is growing. It is a way to move from harmful and non renewable fossil fuel power to green renewable power. Fossil fueled power produces carbon and carbon dioxide emissions which are harmful to the environment. The use of fossil fuels has also contributed to climate change.
PV panels create electricity by utilizing the planet’s most profuse heat source: The sun. Sunlight is produced when the sun moves above the horizon. It is then that it produces heat, and light, and this is used by panels to create our much needed electricity. The sun provides us with a renewable energy source.
The process achieved providing electricity from sunlight is a wonderful thing. PV cells are made of a variety of things such as positively and negatively charged layers of semi conducting material, silicon and melted sand. When sunlight hits the layers of semi conducting material it causes an imbalance in electrons which in turn create the electricity.
There are many power plants that give clean electricity in various countries around the world. They are used instead of fossil fuel power plants. High concentrated photovoltaic power plants, also known as HCPV power plants, are known to be able to provide even more energy efficient solar power than standard PV solar plants. The reason for this is its use of hydraulics, and unique software, that enable the solar panel to move instead of staying still like conventional fixed flat-plate paneled power systems. The hydraulics and tracking software enable to panel to follow the sun as it moves, which gives it maximum provisions of sunlight on a more continual basis than standard paneled systems.
Concentrated PV plants can replace normal fossil fuel power plants to create clean renewable power plants. Fossil fueled energy plants emit carbon dioxide which is a gas known to contribute to climate changes. Non-renewable energy plants are also known to emit pollutants, volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides.
Green power systems are popular because of the growing need to replace fossil fuel systems with clean energy systems. Besides solar power as a clean power resource there is also clean power systems which utilize water, wind turbines and geo thermal systems. Photovoltaic energy however, remains a leading power source for clean electricity to homes and commercial businesses.
